I've been falling behind in my strip buffer in the last week because of a lot of homework. I probably won't fall far enough behind that there will actually have to be time off to catch up, but it's not impossible. I should be able to start catching up at last after Wednesday.
When I finished the script for the 'loose ends' section of the chapter, I looked at it and realized I laid the melodrama on too heavily. I ended up re-writing almost the entire thing, to give it that balance of melodrama and situational humor that got me into webcomics in the first place.
The next storyline will be on Lyosh's ship. I want to keep it under a month or two, but we'll see how far into the plan I want to go in this particular chapter.
Speaking of Mass Effect 2, it's got like three or four characters with backstories very similar to Raya's. Is Backwater Planet in need of an Illusive Man parody character? (Should I start writing Raya more like Jack?)
